Welcome to the wonderful world of property tax law in Florida.  The purpose of this blog is to educate property owners about the local governments’ primary source of revenue – the property tax – and to explain the mechanics of how your taxes are determined, how to qualify for an exemption or special classification, and what to do if you think an error has been made.  Of course, because the law in this area is ever-changing, be sure to check back periodically for updates, as I will also be posting information on changes in the law as they occur.
